Thanks. The appearance is consistent with the outside. Fairly austere, reflecting the church tradition, taking over an older building.

Been into many cathedrals and great churches all over Europe. St. Giles was particularly dark inside. Except in the direction of the altar (second image) It felt broody and mysterious.

St. Michael's RC, Sparwood, BC, Canada

St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Sparwood, BC, Canada. The church was built in 1971 to replace St. Michael's from Michel BC when the province moved everyone out because "Michel was an eyesore" on entering the province from the East.
K-3, DA 12-24 at 19mm.
Manfrotto tripod.
ISO 280, 1/20@f/4, -1 bias from exposure bracket sequence. Post processing in LightRoom 6 to balance lighting with the stained glass window which was made by a local artist, donated by the Catholic Women's League.

One of many tiny, isolated churches in Iceland. Farms are widely scattered, and I suspect winter travel can be difficult or impossible, and worse in the past without paved roads. Consequently there is a long-standing tradition of building a family chapel, or a slightly larger one such as this that serves just a few nearby farms.

A church in the Azores, rather deep into the evening. If you cannot read it, built in 1847.
