Death and Resurrection

The Church of Saint Mary in Krakow, Poland
Saw a documentary once about it. Must have been exhilarating to see it.

Fascinating!
Yes, it is a fascinating place to visit, I have visited twice, and will visit again when I next return to Poland.
Almost every object in the chapel is carved from the salt of the mines. As I was told, the chandelier crystals are created from the salt of the mine as well.
This the altar, the lights are either electrical, or candles.

I know I took many more pictures of the cathedral, but I cannot find them.

I know where you are coming from. I upgraded my system, and somehow LR lost most of its connections to the files.

I really should use a separate drive for images, but I use a MacBook (laptop) and that is more weight than I want to carry.

Beautiful Georgian Dublin

The absolutely beautiful wide, Mount Street Upper, just off Merrion Square with The Peppercanister Church (St Stephen's Church) at the end.

Good lighting through the windows.

I'll second all the preceding comments and observe that the composition and exposure capture the beauty, serenity, and also the sheltered, isolated security provided by the church, as if the massive walls could keep out all the troubles of the World.
Thanks all for the kind feedback. It was a very beautiful old church. It was also a bit dark so that shot that certainly exceeded my expectations.

Here is the shot of the altar.

Not technically a church, but this cloister is part of the Naumburger Dom St. Peter und St. Paul ensemble, a world heritage site. Cloister as in half-open covered passage framing the court, not as in monastery.
