Beautiful Wee Kirk

I much prefer the older style... to the more modern concrete we see today.

St Marys Kensworth:

The was captured hand-held using the HDR Auto setting of a Pentax KP with a Pentax DA 18-135 zoom lens at 21 mm. The JPEG image was adjusted and slightly cropped in PaintShop Pro.

The church is almost hidden away among trees in the countryside about half a mile from the village of Kensworth in Bedfordshire. Isn't that an unusual and interesting roof?!

That is an unusual roof especially on such a quintessentially English church. I remember being struck by the roof of St. Stephens in Vienna which has a two-color tile pattern roof, but it's only a simple zig-zag, not as complex a pattern is on the church you've shown.

Below: spires and domes of several churches on Santorini.

Would be very interesting to know the history of the roof.
