I had been hoping for a good chance to go to the zoo when a few inches of snow fell. I would have like some sun to be present but I will hope for other opportunities. We woke up to at least three inches so I bundled up the kids to prepare them for a short time at our zoological park as more snow was falling.   He was doing this often.  Let's pretend he is catching snowflakes on his tongue. | |

Here are a few from the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska:  (K100D w/ Promaster 70-300, shot thru glass on monopod)  (same rig, getting the evil eye from Mama Ostrich on her eggs...)  The ostriches and giraffes share a compound there... Jim | |

Wow Bud - the last two from your first set, and the snake from this set, are simply stunning  Here are some of mine. The first four were with an SMC Takumar 135/2.5 at Colchester zoo (a brilliant zoo if anyone's ever in the area  ), the last three with a Sigma 70-200/2.8 at a tiny local zoo in Linton.
