I like to keep my curry separate from my chips (east is east and west is west and all that), but a chip butty with the melting butter dribbling through (and maybe down to your elbows) was a real treat when I was growing up.

There may not be an Eiffel tower in this Paris . . .

But it is home for the world's biggest fish fry . . .

Taken on Agfa Ultra 100.

Winter still hasn't released its grip on us - nor on this sign

Precisely. Sorry if you've been waiting some time for an answer. We've been away vacationing with family.

Three signs from Disney World. If you've never been there, these are posted in various places to create "atmosphere." Some are made up by Disney and are related to things in the park or Disney movies, etc. Others are "authentic" = collected somewhere overseas. The Coke sign is probably among the latter.

Two more sign images from Disney World. The poaching sign was linked to some hokey poacher-catching they included in the original safari ride. However, they seemed to have eliminated that business, much to the improvement of the experience.

Back in 1971 or 1972 my drinking mates and I used to frequent a mobile Burger van after drinking till the bar shut where I first introduced them to Pineapplecheeseburgers. For some reason neither they (or the vendor) had thought about this combination. Just to show them how much I enjoyed the burgers, I had a couple more, then some more until I managed a total of 14. All this on top of an evening of a Heineken fuelled session at a club.
I feel awful if I have 4 these days. Or the Heineken, which I believe is no longer imported into the UK but brewed here. Not that I am missing the good old days. Much.

ah the days of youth and college

I remember living in downstate Illinois, buying a case ( 24 ) of long neck Rhinelander Beer brewed in Wisconsin, and after paying for the beer, the taxes and the bottle deposit, receiving change from my $5.00 bill

this would have been '75 - '79
