Don't know what it means, but it still enhances the door.

As my son - who can speak, read and write Chinese - has observed. Chinese, Japanese, etc. are very clumsy for printing and writing, but for advertising, for making a one or two word statement, the characters are dramatic, attractive and for those who know the language, instantly understood without "reading" in the way that those of us who learned to read an analog clock know the time as soon as we look, without a moment of thinking about what we're seeing.

Well said Walter....it fascinates me because Asian dialect script looks so artful compared to English words and Arabic numbers.
