According to an on-line dictionary, Hawaiians use "KEKO" meaning monkey, ape; said to be an ancient name for a small and ugly creature, especially with a pug nose. In this case it was the nickname of a much-loved paramedic who at age 26 drowned while swimming with several companions just offshore.

V-A-V beware strange creatures crossing. On a tertiary road through a housing development a fellow had a similar triangular warning sign with a yeti, abominable snowman, wookie on it. I saw it numerous times driving to one of our walking spots. It appeared in a human-interest bit on a local TV news broadcast. Within a week it was stolen. The homeowner never replaced it.

Once upon a time this said something directive such as "NO TRESPASSING" in bold red letters, but who remembers, and nobody cares. The wood is much sturdier than the paint was

On July 2nd this year the 2nd stage of Tour de France will start in Roskilde.
Earlier (July 2021) I posted a picture with some cows presenting the route from Roskilde, Seeland to Nyborg.

The City Council is trying to make a real party out of the event ;-)
Now they've come up with the idea of laying 150 sewer covers with the tour-logo on the route.
This is the first one - on the starting spot in Roskilde just left to the cows as seen in the link above.

Interesting way of advertising ;-)

The Hasegawa General Store is a landmark in Hana, Maui. It's the place to buy just about anything, food, surfing supplies, fishing supplies, souvenirs, useful clothing, plumbing, electrical and automotive needs. It is as close to a true general store as ever I've entered, and except for food, the only place in Hana to purchase most things. The only thing it wants is a cracker barrel.
