Elephants- I keep a respectable distance from them. Have seen one chasing a car, not pleasant!

I wondered about the danger of elephants when a couple got real close to our modified Toyota Land Cruiser in the Ngorongoro Crater, of course, we had the pop up top open and I was standing up taking photos

I looked at those trunks and tusks and thought

" what if . . . "

of course, you could be injured by a fall down steps at home ( twice, one broken fibula ) or fall in the bath tub ( not yet ) or get involved in automobile collisions ( several )

Indeed the most dangerous activity - by far! - that most of us get involved in. I can easily fill my "top ten most scary experiences" list with traffic related incidents, above armed robbery and lion in camp.

A sign 300 metres from my home near a river walk. It's a nice looking red-bellied black snake and there are quite a few along there.

The other sign is at a nursing home.

I love this sign which I saw in the Bo-Kaap district of Cape Town. It's not a great shot, so I had a little fun with it in processing (MX-1)

Washington Square Neighborhood in Holland, MI

One of the neighborhoods in the city where I live had a great theme for their Christmas decorations. They were really well done and they were still up as of New Years Eve, so they should be up for until January 2nd.

No parking?

I don't make the connection between a red circle with a red slash, over a blue circle.

To me it looks like No Blue Circles.

This one is listed as prohibitory.

And this one is supposed to indicate the end of the prohibition.

To me, a slash across an image of vehicles means they are not allowed. An open circle showing vehicles means they are allowed.

Bass Ackwards.

Then there is this one.

It says it indicates a traffic accident.

So, they have to erect a permanent sign for this?
