Or maybe the bees know where the unexploded bombs are, and the beekeeper learns from the bees. :-)

So, is this where the Killer Bees train? :-)
That's classified information. ;-)

Well spotted Allen. Yes it's a swamp wallaby. We wondered about that when we were there. Presumably every so often a wombat or wallaby or kangaroo or something gets blown up. Pretty awful really. Same for all the other current or former military training bases in Australia, most of which are in bushland (e.g. Shoalwater in Queensland, Puckapunyal in Victoria, Buckland in Tasmania, HMAS Cerberus in Victoria, etc). There's a lot of places that have unexploded ordnance: http://www.defence.gov.au/UXO/Where/Default.asp

"The Main Place" - the atmosphere, food, and service here are fine. There's just one other restaurant in town, located directly across the street.

Halfway, Oregon?

Taken with a Tamron SP 60-300mm at the long end. Shake reduction on the K-5 is pretty good, my hand held attempts are never steady.

If you look closely, battered Mars bar is on the menu. I wish I had tried it.

Recommended by the Heart Foundation?

One of the staff at my dentist's is from Manchester. She said one of the things she missed most was a curry chip barm butty. (I had to look it up.)

Some strange delicacies in the UK!

Elevator Toilet

ok, I understand the concept:

as you ascend in the elevator , the "other stuff " descends but

what if you are descending in the elevator, what happens to the " other stuff " ??

does Newton's 3rd law of motion apply in that case ?

why not

I agree dark humor but

it should be " instructions " as oppose to " location "

shouldn't it ?

Probably not but if I was to try an "exotic" food this might be top of the list! Unfortunately I had some blood tests done earlier this year and diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol would make it an unlikely entry on my bucket list of foods to try. On the plus side, now I probably know why I have been feeling lousy for some years now and why my diet is not good for me. I like most foods in a "butty", my late friend Reg liked banana and baked beans in a butty but I don't think it is a delicacy, unless the beans are fried in lard.

I am a type II diabetic myself

and I have been told, I can eat anything I want

[ but how much of it, a gram, an ounce, a pound, a kilogram - now " ... that is the question ... " ]
