Reminds me of the time I was sold a case of 24 bottles of Tuborg that was out of date by the publican of my favourite pub. This was probably around 1974 and though I have not had Tuborg since I think I must have enjoyed it. The same pub also sold Moosehead.
From ages 16 to 18 my palate had been tickled by some great German Pilsner so imported beers were much appreciated by me when I came back to England and found I could not enjoy the bitters or milds indigenous to the UK. Bottles of Newcastle Brown and India Pale Ale did help quite a bit though.
