"Pioneer Valley New England Mountain Bike Association - Department of Conservation and Recreation." They maintain trails, installing nice little bridges such as this, and clearing fallen trees or re-routing around them. Most riders we've encountered are also polite, giving warning as they approach from behind or slowing, pausing, stopping to let us pass. We've had some riders on the paved rail-trail come up behind us at speed with no warning = very dangerous. At 20mph it takes less than 60 seconds for a biker to cover a quarter mile. A walker cannot be looking over their shoulder every 15~20 seconds to watch for a biker 1/4 mile behind them.

Pretty old "flower shop" sign. Lady who is managing it feeds the birds and somehow it looks proper when combined with the worn out look of the sign.
