Must have been an interesting trip with "Hurtigruten" up the coast of Norway - to see Norway from the sea. In the winter time you can see "Northern Light" or "Aurora borealis". That I sure would like to see. And the ferry sails all year around ;-)
It was anything but dark once we crossed the Arctic Circle. In fact, we had some of our sunniest weather there, and the warmest day, so no chance whaever of seeing the Aurora. BTW: We came to Roskilde to visit both the museum with Viking-era ships and the cathedral. We were quite smitten by the town.
Another BTW: One of my grandmothers was a Pedersen, born in Norway. I have the impression that "Pedersen" is almost as common a name in Scandinavia as Smith or Jones is in the USA.
