Could have been a lot better shot technically but I didn't have my SP1 and any decent lenses then. I like this shot though. St Francis and the Lizard. I'm going to take my SP1 back to that spot soon. See if I can't get this again. Those lizards are all over here. One is bound to sit on his head again if I just wait long enough and he makes for a nice, sunny perch.

These frogs are common along river,chasing mayflies now.Seen a cottonmouth also
common here, rolled in water before I could get on it.Because of huge mayfly hatch
watersnakes,cottonmouths,turtles,alot different Rep's & Amphibs. eating well.

So glad I found this thread, as my son loves snakes, and hs had numerous snake pets. So will look to see what I can find amongst my many many photos. I'll start with these Gheko ones, taken on my recent July visit to the Kruger National Park. These were taken at night, the contrast with them and the dark wooden beams is what got me taking photos of them.

Fall is my busy time,caught these 'critters' near my place.
1-'Sliders' common mississippi river turtles, very wary, hard to get closer than 100 m
2-plains leopard frog(kodak gold 200),posted same with digital
3-common black snake, skin is milky,getting ready to shed
