We came across this lace monitor about to feast on a road-killed wallaby.

And here is another lace monitor, this time in Mitchell River NP, East Gippsland, Victoria. The first shot was taken with the K-3 and FA*300 f4.5; the second with the K-S2 and DA 18-135. The humble zoom did pretty well I think.

Now that is one enclosure you wouldn't want to fall into. They are seriously scary. Up there with saltwater crocodiles.
