Alligators found at the Jacksonville Zoo

amazing how the water weed ( dill weed ?? ) helps to disguise the one which was coming out of the water

Monitor spotted besides a canal in Thonburi, Bangkok. I didn't expect to see such a large lizard in the middle of a large city like Bangkok

I saw a couple by the king's palace. Surprised me also. Went back with my camera never to see them again.

They must be relatively widespread then, Thonburi where I spotted this pair is on the other side of the river from the Palace

This painted turtle was leaving the pond for a new home, I saw him crossing the road and went out and helped him get safely across, here he is heading through my neighbor's land. I think the pond he was at was not in good ecological shape, I see very few fish in it. He was the biggest turtle I saw in the pond, probably pretty old. I saw a study in progress where they think turtles may not actually age.

A common NZ skink but with a modification in the tail structure - possibly from a wound that healed oddly when it partly shed following a bird strike.
