Thanks Ed. I could see a lot more of a halo with the naked eye but none of my shots were making it show up....but it was there...just took a little coaxing to find it.

Levitating Terrier

Shot with the long end of a 55-300 PLM This photo is reminiscent of an Elliot Erwitt photo of a similar breed caught with all legs off the ground.

Well, it just goes to show that you don't need the latest and greatest to produce good images. After all, it has more to do with the photographer than the camera.
