2018 Louisville NE YMCA doggy dip fund raiser.

This one at the Louisville NE YMCA on the weekend before they close the pool for the season. It’s one of my favorite dog photography weekends. This little pit loved the squirty places. There was an area where water squirted straight up from the deck and I have a sequence of her figuring out she could put a foot over the nozzle and get a drink . K3II and 16-85mm, my event workhorse combination.

I had a very lucky find in the "junk" camera bin of my thrift store on Friday. It was upside down and I did not pay attention to it at first ... but when I turned it over, I saw the big red dot. It was a Lecia Mini II for the grand total of 1€. Bingo and score!

So, after putting a battery in it and a roll of old, gifted Kodak 400 color film, I quickly went out to shoot through the roll as a first test. I home developed that night in Rodinal (1+25 for about 9 min.) and here's what I got. A roll of Fomapan 100 is in it now and will be finished quite soon ... x-post from B&W film thread.

What a good find. Not bad for a piece of "junk".

Guess what? A dog picture!

Just for kicks I put the Pentax 1.4x TC on the K70 with the 55-300 PLM and stepped out of house to shoot some test shots of the street signs. One of the neighbors from around the corner was walking her little herd of little dogs across the street so I walked over there to say hello right when another neighbor loosed her barky poodles into her back yard. I snapped two quick shots at 420mm. The poodle was barking in the first and fuzzy due to to motion blur but just glaring at us in the one posted here.
