A rather boring shot I took last weekend, heavy post in Darktable to push the exposure to the extremes (xposted with low key thread):

Great shot Uwe, did you use pixel shift for this?

Nice shot Ed, you caught the pedestrian just at the right moment!

Thank you Charlie - indeed, I am a firm believer to capture pedestrians when their moving legs form a neat isosceles triangle.

Thanks!

It was fairly sunny but also very hazy due to sea fog and steam coming up off of the sand. The original photo(s) were quite flat looking and after tinkering with some haze removal decided to just see what some rather extreme post might do to it. I think I like it

Hi Charlie, I didn't have a tripod with me, so didn't use PSR. If I had one with me, I guess I wouldn't have used it to not disturb people being there.

Capture parameters:

ISO400, f/5.6, 1/50s, pushed by ~ +0.4ev in post, chose the icc profile B&W Panchromatic, changed contrast slightly, enhanced mircocontrast using clarity sliders (clarity minimal, structure significantly more) and raised the midtones. Work done in Capture One Pro.
