K 3 II + SMC PENTAX-D FA 100mm F2.8 Macro

the physical structure of the Sumatran Tiger enclosure at the Topeka Zoo and Conservation Center and its orientation often causes problems with reflections in the windows and with photographs taken through it.

[ I suggest those taking photos with their phones to try to put their phones as close as possible to the glass to combat that, any one got any other suggestions ? ]

however those factors along with the items placed into the enclosure - logs, water and plants, can make some nice images:
Use a rubber lens hood if you can touch the glass with it.

Use a Circular Polarizer filter. Please. The reflections soften images and detract from the final result.

Some flowers do look good in even in BW

I do suggest that to others

I've been trying that but I haven't gotten the hang of it yet, I don't like the results

Operator error no doubt

Captured this last week at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.
Tough shot to get, bad lighting, lots of reflections also lots of unrelated gear in the background.
But I’m very happy with the final result.

Caffenol developed B&W film

Leica IIIf RD + a repaired, but still crippled Leitz Summitar 50/2 + Fomapan 100 B&W film + Caffenol CH recipe via home development and Epson V600 scan ... I repaired the lens and then went out for some tests.

I picked the lens up in a junk bin for peanuts, but two hours(++) of repair to get it operational. The major trouble was an almost completely seized aperture ring. The front element is not that nice and I cannot collapse the lens since the guide on the barrel has been butchered previously ... still shoots relatively nice. (x-post from B&W Film thread)
