Ah ah, that is the first line of this book regarding the Spotmatic:

If you are into film SLRs I greatly recommend it, it has been very helpful developing my skills when you have to pay $2 or so for shot. It deals mostly with the Spotmatic F that I consider one of the Pentax ever, an almost perfect balance of functionality, quality and performance.

Now, if I am allowed to post a color picture, this is a 1976 Honeywell Spotmatic that I bought NOS, still in the box (with matching serial number), case, original eyecup, original ghostless filter, original Pentax hood...

Seen by its archenemy, a Fujika ST705W with Fujinon 50mm f1.4 on Portra 160...Interesting enough I don't have pictures in B&W taken with my SPFs because I mostly use the Takumar 1.8 and 1.4 on color as they deliver very saturated pictures, especially the radioactive 1.4.

Gravestone with clasped hands
--usually understood to symbolize a bond lasting into eternity, as with spouses buried together,
or to symbolize a bond that spans from the present to eternity, as between the
bereft and the departed loved one, until they are reunited.

I noticed no derailment. Or are you talking about my disarrangement or cerebral derangement?

I could not get upset by somebody posting an image of such a beautiful SPF.

So far, Oscar and the goats don't share the same area. He can be a bit aggressive sometimes. Eventually, we hope to have them do that, but the goats will need to be trained to escape Oscar through small gates into an area he can't get into. They do sometimes touch noses over or through a fence!

Chapel on the High Desert

Mission Mary Calera Chapel was built in the mid-1920s for the little community of Calera in Western Texas. Calera is long gone, and the chapel, known locally as "Mission Mary," sits alone a few miles outside of the small town of Toyahvale in the high desert at the foot of the Davis Mountains.

In 2002 the Calera Foundation was organized to renovate the abandoned chapel. Today, the little adobe chapel again is open to all for visits, prayer, retreats, and ceremonies.
