Very true! Yet, I'm attempting one myself...

Too easy, Nick ... it's the Richelieu-Drouot station, but which line ... I'm guessing number 8 from the map inside the metro car; terminus of Créteil/Pointe du Lac ... and great capture by the way J

PS - some great capture everyone else ... TFS, J

Great capture.

More desert pics. Hope y'all aren't sick of these by now. I'll have to go get new pics.

I like it. Could be captioned: "Heading to King Solomon's Mines."

+1. That's just an awesome composition...perhaps because I've only lived in heavily forested terrain, I have a hard time envisioning how that short of FL (albeit a short tele on a crop sensor) packs so much space and depth into the same frame. I think, though, that the post-processing wasn't a trivial challenge and might do much to explain the effect.

Thanks! I, at least, never tire of desert pictures. Not when they are like these!

Glad you like it. It was a wonderful three day walk, sleeping under the stars, but not quite as adventurous as that!

Thank you! Not tool much work with the processing, really. I used Silver Efex for this one, and with a bit of pulling the different levers in there it's fairly quickly done.

But don't let anyone tell you that the 55-300 can't do landscapes
