Monochrome conversions from Kodak Professional Portra 160 film

This was my first time shooting this film, and first time shooting the "Sunny" with film instead of dslr. I discovered that this Portra could have cool colors, even muted colors, in cloudy circumstances but performed very differently in bright sun. Some of those shots looked better converted to B&W. The above pictures, however, were converted from brighter color sunny-day shots that were very satisfactory as they were. Still, the alternate B&W versions, if not necessarily better, have their own appeal. (Here's a link to my post to my overall observations of using Portra 160 for the first time:
