This one had purple and green fringing on the tree branches. In fixing that, it lost what little color there was in the sky. So I tried B & W.

It doesn't feel somber to me. All of the eyes are expressive. I can't tell if your daughter is thinking, "you better delete that photo, Dad" or "I just want to snuggle with my puppy and go to sleep". It is kind of sweet

A B & W alternative on this one, the color version was pretty good also (IMO).

I like it, very similar to a set of photos I took years ago while playing around with my flash off camera. I believe my avatar picture is from that shoot.

the camera was my x100t in my right hand ...having wireless control of all the flashes/strobes and TTL certainly simplifies life a lot you can dial in exposure pretty quickly (leaf shutter nice too)
model OTOH could use some work

Ventured out of the neighborhood this evening. Brought the chair with me. I tried not to look at the people in the cars passing by while I took a picture of an empty chair in a field.

Interesting photo, I really like the mood it imparts....Why does the Beatles (Harrison) song "Here Comes the Sun" come to mind.
