This little dove was trying to hide in the shadows, but not trying hard enough !! K-3 and 18-135. Thanks for having a look.

It's pretty amazing how well doves, and other birds blend in, though. I once nearly tripped over a nesting dove who'd taken over a less trafficked part of my garden. Nice shot!

A lot of them are " masters " of camouflage Rob. Thanks for the kind comment.

First picture taken some years ago using K5 and Vivitar S1 70-210 at river Trisanna near Ischgl, Austria, second two weeks ago using K-1 and DA55-300PLM at lake Staffelsee in Bavaria, Germany.

there is close and then there is closer, much closer

this group of old and young walked down the roadway leading out of the Yellowstone Park toward West Yellowstone Montana past our vehicle. the last one in the group had been injured and was not able to put any weight at all on one of its rear legs.

no photo has been cropped . I could had reached out of my window and touched many of the group as they slowly walked by
