It's been about 3 weeks, since I had a minor surgical procedure on my right lower eyelid. No stabbing pains since last week, but the stitches are still there rubbing away at the cornea.

I was messing around taking a self portrait, mostly to compare the before / during healing / and after. Apparently 3 weeks was long enough to forget how to set the exposure. I didn't hit the green button, ugly LED light, WB was missed. I ended up using LV and zooming in to focus. This had all the makings of a fine portrait.

I did a quick convert to B&W, and thought I'd keep it. A high key self portrait.

I'm still applying ointment to the eye, which gives the "Vaseline on filter" effect out of my right eye. It also makes me look like I have mascara coating my right eyelashes. Now I'm way cooler than the other Engineers in the office.

This was nearly 9 years ago my then 9 year old daughter and her younger friend exploring - the B&W gave it that timeless classic look it does so well, and made some of the uglier bits - the wire and concrete, stand out less, or in a less distracting way
