Torre DŽen Rovira, Ibiza, Balearics, Spain.

It dates from 1763, and like other towers scattered along the coast, it was used as a watch and defense tower (it even had artillery, such as canons).
The entrance in the ground level didnŽt originally exist, the main (and only) door was the one on top of it.

Is that the Vivitar 2-touch f/3.8 Close-focusing 75-205mm? If so, that was my ONLY zoom for a couple of my decades as a photography hobbiest. I love that lens.

Did you know, that unlike a lot of zooms, it works great reversed? Tape the focus ring where you want it, and focus with the zoom ring, if I recall my technique in the late 1970s. I also used to mount it normally, and reverse my Takumar 55mm on the front of it.

it is.... and it's almost as ponderous to use as the other M42 zoom that arrived with it: a Montgomery Ward 85-205mm f3.8 zoom....

Mine was an m42 mount.

Ponderous? Let's call it very unplasticky.

And never any zoom creep, a great plus using it for macro work pointed downward on a copy stand, as I sometimes did--with extension tubes, or reversed, or with a supplementary lens like that Tak 55 on the front of it

Beautiful... that cow seems to be floating on a canvas. Great composition.
