A quick outing today to Poitiers' museum with my two youngest daughters ... more Pentax-110 film lens action. Here, the 24/2.8 with an added aperture circle on the Fujifilm X-E1.

Lydford Gaol, once notorious for its horrific conditions of cold, disease and starvation. But at least you usually didn't have to stay for long: Gibbet Hill was nearby on Black Down, where the popular crowd-pleasers included slicing off noses and/or ears. . . and of course the noose.

Is that where the fad of cutting off one's nose to spite one's face got started?

Looks like a interesting structure. Have you seen any of the interior?

Yes, you can go inside but I didn't take any snaps. It's just an empty space with no roof now, with that same unpleasant feeling that old places always seem to have when horrible things have happened there.
