My only take-it-or-leave-it suggestion (and I truly mean that - no offence taken if you tell me to stick it up my...) might be to try at a higher ISO and bump up that shutter speed. If you're particularly steady-handed you can certainly manage 1/10s at 55mm handheld, but bumping the ISO to 400 in this case, having the shutter speed at 1/20s would make it easier to avoid any motion blur.
It doesn't detract from the image in this case, but it generally helps!
I found on APS-C cameras that ISO 800 is usually a good place to 'stop'*. On full-frame cameras I've pushed to ISO 3200 for colour without too much negative impact, or ISO 5000 with B&W.
Lastly, I've found that pushing ISO higher on B&W shots has far fewer negative connotations than high-ISO colour shots!
The take-home however is keep up the good work!
*I say stop, but really push it up as much as you need to - if there's an opportunity for a one-off shot, in gloomy conditions, and ISO 1600/3200/6400 is all that will suffice for you to get a good shutter speed go for it! Getting that shot is more important than a bit of noise.
