Anyone here a student of Ansel Adam’s zone theory? Summing it up every Black and White image can/should be broke into 10 zones from black to pure white, and exposures/shadows highlights developed to populate a portion of the 10 zones.

When fiddling with Silver Efex you will find top of the development panels a means to isolate/ identify the 10 zones.

Just curious if any of you do PP with this philosophy.

Little Houstonia flowers high up in the mountains. It was my first time getting to use this new Voigtlander 23mm f1.2 lens and it definitely has me intrigued.

My K3 Monochrome arrived...and not an hour had passed before I spotted the first speck of dust upon the sensor!

Also I forgot how stupidly wide this lens is:

Pentax KiMONO - Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 @ 8mm ISO 320 f/11 1/500th + modified STC filter with orange HRMC coated filter glass.

This is already a pretty substantial crop, with an apochromatic lens like the Sigma 100-300mm f4 APO the detail even at High ISO is very impressive.

Pentax KiMONO Sigma 100-300mm f/4 APO EX @ 220mm f/8 ISO 3200 1/125th
