Ok, Here is a series I posted last year. I am sure since we have many new members, not all have seen this.....

I was not going to post these, but then they are photographs. On Friday I took the day off as I always do on Good Friday. I decided to pull Daniel out of school and go for a hike in the angeles national Forrest since we had not been on a good hike in while. I grabbed by ME SUPER and took off...I wish I had taken my digital with Long lens, but who knew...While Hiking a creek we came across some voodoo dolls hanging on the trees and as we looked up ahead, we found a group of people practicing true Santeria...They where doing animal sacrifice and putting the blood on these peoples head to ''cleanse'' them...It was creepy to me and horrible. All I could do is pray for these people. Anyway here are some images. Wrong lens and these are heavily cropped as they are quick scans. I will not post the slaughtering of the animals though. So ugly...They ended up scarring us away as they did not like their pictures taken....but I kept shooting.
These are very creepy, Javier. I'm amazed you were able to get photos of those people.

VERY good photos on this thread, everyone. This doesn't come close, but I like it anyway, since it's in an institution full of hopelessness emphasized by the surroundings and very dim lighting. I call it...

I'm not really sure what is surreal about this. It's quite pleasant.

What's so strange about this guy? Hell, he only has LUCIFER tattooed on his stomach! NUT! Or, at least he wants people to think he is one. A nutter that is.

maybe the way the water flows and the way the shot is taken makes one have the impression it's not about horizontal, but lateral and vertical - common sense rules are abolished - like in imagination, most of the time. but maybe I go too far(if some picture raises something in my mind it does not necessarily mean it does to viewers, generally.

I guess I'd rather pay attention at this, as shooting is not only for oneself but mostly for the public

thanks for your honest feedback dare I say it - I'd rather have some critique/comments to put a spin on my pictures, than just appreciation, I can improve faster this way

That was my take as well. I found the photo to be somewhat disorienting...almost as if the water was not flowing at all.

For sure, it is not "punch me in the stomach" disturbing, but the I don't think it has to be.
