A prolonged rain atop a thick hard-frozen snow cover a couple years back brought this stream above all but the tops of tallest of the cairns in this picture. The water was raging, so none of these would have been left standing

An inlet, probably part of an abandoned channel of the Swift River which is visible toward the top of the image.
