Lucia Runs Large

This time of year, the East Fork Lewis River runs at high volume and the modest drop at Lucia Falls become a serious hydraulic challenge to migrating spring chinook salmon and to anything unlucky enough to be swept into the rushing churn.

Yes, there was the occasional large salmon jumping against this 15 foot drop.
