That looks like "bird vetch" = Vicia cracca In NA it's an invasive weed, but it nevertheless has a pretty floral head.

Thanks for the info. Whatever it is, it has very tiny flowering ends and is found all over our State Park. A pretty purple covering large swaths of ground.

Certainly sounds like vetch. Once it's established it's extremely difficult to eradicate because it will regrow from tiny bits of root, and the thread-like roots spread all over.

Really fine harbor, although I'm not sure it's as deep as the Hudson R. along the west side of Manhattan.

Swallow Falls near Betws-y-coed in north Wales
Hoping you and all who you know and love are safe from the fires raging in Australia. Wishing you early abundant rain.
I'm posting this on several threads, to let all our Pentaxian friends down under know we are thinking of them, and their country.

Hey, you shouldn't use your camera in the rain!

(Don't worry, kid, it's a Pentax.)
Taken by my daughter, with my Ricoh WG-4.

That's sad. Unfortunately the same thing is happening here in California.
