Lens test: f2.8, f5.6, f16. Ancient (77 year old) Schneider-Kreuznach 7.5cm lens adapted to the K-r. 18 aperture blades. Circular bokeh. Check it out.

F5.6 looks very close to what one can achieve using 18-55 Kit

I agree. I still need to experiment but the lens sharpens up significantly at smaller apertures! However the last shot at f16 was very difficult and, I think, past f16. I has to increase ISO from 100 to 400 and it was still a relatively long exposure. It's a peculiar lens and I don't have lots of expertise in characterizing them at this point.

Interesting! I'll have to do a test shot of the same scene in afternoon sunlight with it and test that out. I've been wanting to do that anyway.

Actually it looks quite good just extremely narrow DOF. I'm assuming this is the older single coated version and not the SX version. I have the f1.8 version and find it as sharp as any of my pentax but it loses contrast much quicker than my smc lenses when shooting towards any kind of light.

I like it alot wide open ! It has "CHARACTER" Nice job getting it fitted and working good !

Minimal processing (curve adjustment, mildly increased saturation, sharpening)
