Beautiful colours. It's a refreshing green.

+1 - My own DA50-200 doesn't see a lot of use, but I might have to rethink the bokeh possibilities. Nice shot, shooz. Nice comp & POV, Rick - iso 1600 - yikes!

Our crape myrtle is hanging in there thru the hot summer, though the blossoms look like they've shrunk. K100D + Sigma A28-84@f/3.5:

Shooz, that is really nice. I have that lens too, and have never been satisfied with it at 200mm. I had put it down to a poor copy of the lens, but since acquiring a DA* 200 and learning just how tricky it is to get sharp focus at 200mm I need to go back and see if I can do better with the DA 50-200.

What 2x TC are you using?

Speaking of the DA* 200, here's some bamboo bokeh:

Of all things it is a Promaster Spectrum7, that a friend of mine left in my bag. One that I recommended he not buy.
It was there so I gave it a go. Viewfinder was dim, so it was hard to focus, but I must say sharp focus was possible.
I wouldn't recommend it for moving objects though. I was unable to get a sharp shot of an egret that has taken up residence in the park.
I got my 20-200 new on fleabay for $70! I am surprised by it's capabilities all the time. At near closest focus the bokeh can be sweet.................

Ps. Nice bamboo shot......

A rather curious additional feature of the Sears 135mm f2.8 lens. See it here. You rotate the section at the front of the lens for "macro" shots - you're still a minimum of about a meter (instead of 1.5m) feet away from the subject, though.
