Oh yes, the Eastern slope of the Cascades is spectacular!

Too bad about the tree. I know that until they get established they can be tough to keep going. If the magnolia fails again this year I may have to look at building a temporary greenhouse over the next one each winter until it gets well rooted and toughened to the cold.
