The first one is very cool. It is now going to be harder to comment on specific photos since the forum got cheapened up a tad.

Moth

I am taking the liberty of posting a shot taken by my son which I just found on a memory card. This was taken with the Pentax k-m and kit lens and I am amazed just how well it came out. Although Thomas tends to be a purist who prefers an old manual SLR camera, he is the sort of person who can produce amazing images with a cell phone camera or whatever else is laying around!

Thanks...but, what do you mean by your second statement ? Why is the forum cheapened and why does it make it more difficult to comment on pictures?

No longer is seems can one quote with the image in the picture. I can see where this was getting abused a little, but I for one like commenting on others photos, but will likely do it less now.

Thank you for the explanation. I didn't know it wasn't possible until now. Yeah! that sucks.

It really does stink. I wonder who came up with this brilliant idea?

Here's Harry.

I'm appreciating the FA 50 1.4 more and more every time I use it.

Fairly narrow depth of field here at F2. Ears just starting to blur and the hairs on his back are well on the way. The green leaves on the right are about 18" behind him. Smooth and creamy in the background. Am I right or am I dreaming?

Richard.
I'm glad to see someone that appreciates this lens. Most discussions on fast fifties result in this lens being howled down in favor of other af lenses.

I find it a very useful lens and I like the images it gives me. Even at inflated Australian prices, it's great value for the money.

Taken around the same time as Harry's photo, this one shows the sharpness of the lens quite well, I think. The original, full-size image is super sharp. F2 again. Just to keep things on topic, there's just the hint of a bit of bokeh starting to show itself

Richard.
