Cross posted from post your photos.

A few images from one of the parks near Niagara Falls, if you're going to take images of common birds in every day settings, you owe it to yourself to do something interesting.

Cross posted from a competition.. challenging us to submit a photo with our least liked lens , thus the intro.

K-5
Vivatar 135 2.8 M lens

I hate this lens. Vivatar 135 2.8, manual, can't adjust the F stop in AV mode... no matter what you set it to, it shoots at 2.8. 135 is a real orphan length in APS-c. Close focus is 5 feet, absolutely dreadful for a lens of this length. Pentax doesn't even make one. You can use it to take a picture though. And it didn't cost much.

This one taken @ ƒ22 in M mode, exposure done with the Green button.

Nice shot Norm. I think I have the same model Viv 135. Mine is Cosina-made. Yes, the green button is needed (not a big deal for me), and the lens has a black anodized mount so the focus confirmation doesn't even work! The MFD is a bit of a pain as you mentioned. The F/L is a bit awkward for me on APSc, although it works well for shooting the kids' school concerts & stage events. All that said, I find the optics to be fantastic, right on par with Pentax SMC glass - sharp with super color & contrast. Build quality is also top-notch in my book. It's a lens I wish I used more often! Shot with an *istD (cropped):

Been a while since I posted here too, guess it's time to show off a couple more...

This one was posted in POTW too, and it probably fits the bokeh theme better than anything else I've gotten recently...

The Mushroom Army

Don't remember if this one has been posted at all, sunflower in the dew.

This was my lead in example for the "Not Your Favorite Glass" challenge, this 135mm is one I've never liked but sometimes the bokeh is pretty nice...

I was going to take it in place, but a dog stepped on it, they always step on whatever I'm interested in, so I brought it home and photographed it on the deck... giving me the option to use the firebush beside the wood shed in the bokeh...
