Balboa Island Christmas Boat Parade


A bulb composite of four bulb exposures, anchored around the main exposure of the boat turning around...

The next two exposures were for the boat cruising back down the harbor away from me, and I only layer masked in the boat itself from those two exposures, and a little bit of selective masking at low opacity of the trailing boat that was turning around to address some blown highlights from the main exposure from all the lights on the main boat...

Then there was one short bulb exposure for the boats bottom right and on the left, because all their movements in the longer exposures were distracting/detracting... There were some other small boats too that came in and out of the bottom foreground during the longer exposures that got removed using the short exposure...

There was also a small boat that was right in the middle (in the blue reflection area) during all the exposures that I chose to clone out...

Tried to read through your description but too many beers !! could not follow.

I like it still.
