Ok, I looked it up. The Civil Courts Building, built 1928-1930. The top is based on the
Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, built in 350 BC for the body of a dude named Mausolus. This is the origin of the word "Mausoleum." Its construction was ordered by his widow Artemisia II, who was also his sister. I understand we associate columns with courts, but is it not odd to model a court after a tomb?
