1) I'll start with a Vegas pic
K100D and FA 50mm f/1.4: 1/60, f/2.5, ISO 800


2) Utah State Fair
K100D and Sigma EX DG 24-60 f/2.8: 1/15, f/2.8, 60 mm, ISO: 800, Bias: +1.3 EV (handheld)



3) Cloud-shrouded moon
K100D and DA 18-250mm: 1 second, f/4.5, 48 mm, ISO: 800 (tripod)


4) Jupiter watching over our tent - illuminated by the moon
K100D and DA 18-250mm: 20 seconds, f/3.5, 18 mm, ISO: 800 (tripod)

I really like the exposure you captured on these two shots. Thanks for providing the settings too.

There are certainly parts of Detroit that look nicer from a distance. On the other hand, Windsor doesn't look like much from the American side.

We have those Holiday Inns in Melbourne.

From what I have seen & read you are game to walk around Detroit of a night taking shots.

That's for sure. Good shots, by the way.

I was living in Warren and working just south of W. Grand Blvd. (Burroughs) when the whole idea of the Renaissance Center was being promoted on TV.

And I remember going to the casino in Windsor to see Ella Fitzgerald. Life was good

graham: that modern sculpture looks great (the colors fit very well as well) not to mention Pero's bridge with the lovely curve

steinback: I like the picture called Traffic, it's very dynamic

scott: I go for the picture from utah state square

mark: your last picture looks really 3D

rense: I like the second shot, maybe because there's more light which lets show the beautiful shape of the lake.

I was out last night for a short walk close to my house, armed with a beanbag, not much came out of it but at least I had fun(I was lucky to get trash bins&co to sleep my beanbag on)
