nice I never get through there in winter, in summer it is on my ride to and from work , it's a good spot for me to take a break and shoot pics halfway between pretty much (queen logan up to wilson and avenue road)

Thanks Eddie - that's a substantial commute you have. I ride through there in the summer as well.
I went to the cemetery to find something for the "shadows" weekly challenge. I noticed for the first time when I opened the image of the spiral monument that there is a hand emerging from the stone, holding the inscription scroll. Very creepy.

Have not had a lot of time lately to spare for my photography interest. Seems like when I have had the camera out it is for family history or genealogy interests.

This image is the Pine Lake Cemetery which is the location for one of the oldest churches in Alberta, Holy Trinity Anglican, built around 1902-1903.

A little over a century is not that long in other parts of the world, but when this church was built is was located in what was still called the North-West Territories.

Two images taken at my great-great grandmother's gravesite in the Los Angeles Oddfellows Cemetery. Scanned from postcard format negatives likely shot on a Kodak Autographic in the mid to late 1920's.
