Doors with a Message

...and to impress. These are the East doors, or Gates of Paradise, by Lorenzo Ghiberti, in the Baptistery of St John in Florence, Italy. They took 21 years to complete, and 20 of the 28 gilded bronze panels depict scenes from the life of Christ.
This was taken in the early evening on my K20D with the FA31 LTD, wide open at 1/8s, handheld.

Can you imagine 4 people using it at the same time?

I remember visiting my great gran in Norfolk in the early 1970s and her outside (only) toilet was similar, just the one hole though! It was known as a thunderbox!
