I'm tickled that I escaped from the craft in tact. No bizarre alien tattoos were left and they didn't touch my charge cards. Sometimes a guy gets lucky.

Ooh. I like this one. Only problem is Ballard stories, never mind particular quotes, tend to blur together in my memory over time: I've been savoring my collection for a long time.

I guess when I wrote "Every photo should be accompanied by the passage or quote that inspired it" I was expecting it to be a Ballard story.
