PP Challenge #23

Here it is.. May be challenging for some, not so much for others. Let's see what the PP gurus out there can do with it.

This was taken with my newly acquired Sears 55mm f1.4 M42 lens. I've tried a couple different things but even fixed it lacks pop for me. Maybe it's the lens, or the exposure, or both..

Rules same as last time around, one entry per person, say what you did to the photo (besides laugh), and upload the photo to the site of your choice. I don't have anything set up at the moment for this sort of file sharing. Click the photo link to download the full size out of camera JPG. If you prefer to work with the RAW, I think it can be downloaded here.. Click on the folder and you should be able to download the PEF.

Edit:

PEF can also be downloaded Here.

Contest closes at midnight May 7, 2010 (Eastern time).

Works here. I'm using whatever the latest version of Firefox is. If you want, PM me your email address and I'll try and send it to you. If you want to work with it instead, I do have the full out of cam JPG linked as well.

Working with the same version of Firefox here . Don't know what goes wrong.... It takes less than a second and it's only about 2.2-something kB large...

Glad you got it sorted out! Here's my entry. I went back and forth a bit on this image, but in the end I went with a more somber and subdued look which I think fits the subject well. So I straightened and cropped a bit, fixed the exposure using levels, made it a tad warmer, then reduced vibrancy and added a vignette:

I'm no expert when it comes to doing PP, but thought I'd give it a go. All done in LR. Just cropped, straightened, and other misc. adjustments. Tried to give it a more dark and gloomy look. I think I need to start learning to use Photoshop.

Straightened the shoreline, cropped the image to focus more on the building, and tweaked curves, contrast, and saturation.
