Forest Triptych

K10D, Vivitar 28/2.5 CF (K02)

Today I took a walk in the woods hoping to see something to contribute to the "Project 52" forest challenge. Instead, I saw three somethings, each one of which is typical of our local forest. Tangle and decay...creeping flowers (Bunchberry, Cornus canadensis)...and towering trees.

Toy camera filter in the camera (pentax K-x) + lightroom's antique grayscale filter!

Stevebrot - that is one nice triptych, love the green colors.

Thanks for the compliments! Today is one of those days when I can use the strokes.

This week's project 52 was the reason I shot these images. I was tempted to submit the triptych, but figured that was unfair (three disguised as one). I still have a couple of locations I want to shoot before I decide which one to submit to the forest challenge. (We have a lot of forest around here with a fair amount of variety...everything from maples to juniper!)
