Hello from Manila

Hello everybody. I am a Pentax K-1000 user since 1977.

My 1st DSLR was a Nikon D-80 but I accidentally broke it.

I have to buy a replacement DSLR and finally decided through the help of this forum and chose the K-x.

I am very satisfied with it despite the complaints in some reviews on the lack of Focus Point LED indicators like that on my former D-80.

Anyway I am used to the microprism of the K-1000 for so many years so it is not an issue for me on the K-x and I am on full manual mode most of the time.

This is a nice and very helpful forum. I hope to meet Pentax users here in the Philippines.

Well it's a good thing you didn't buy another D80- they break too easily.
