Hi, I've played around on and off with photography for the past few years.

I use to have a trusty Canon A710, which I loved, until I lost it

So I'm hoping to get a lower end Pentax DSLR!

Welcome. Good choice - the K-x is a great lower end DSLR!

Actually, I would love to get a K-x! At the moment though I'm thinking of maybe a 2nd hand K100D, and then once I've squeezed as much as I can from it, move to the K-x.
