Hello from Melbourne.

G'Day from Aus. Always had an interest in photography, I'm now retired. Most people these days are moving "forward" to digital, I suppose. Well, I'm different..I'm going "backwards" to Pentax screw Mount! I've had a nice black Spotmatic 11 for years...I've decided to use it again....also got a F4macro, 300f4, & just purchased an 85/210 Zoom (all Pentax). The zoom is apparently missing its close up attachment lens (originally stored in lens case lid!), so if anyone knows the specs of this, or something similar, perhaps they could let me know.
What I have noticed, sinse I'm now on the lookout for a few myself, is the very expensive nature of mint Takumar SMC M42 lens's....much dearer now, than they were 10 yrs ago!
Looking forward to some good discussion.
Cheers Pickles.

Yes, the Taks are getting very dear. I'm also in the process of going backwards. I know very little about film and am thinking about getting a rangefinder.

What side of Melbourne are you from Pickles?

You're not kidding! But it seems like it's leveled off recently. (I guess a lousy world economy helps.)

Make sure to visit the Takumar club, where like-minded nuts like us discuss and show examples of our old glass. All of mine are m42, used on a K-x with the Pentax adapter.

WELCOME!
