K100D newbie in the UP of MI.

After reading for a few weeks on here and several other forums along with the DPReview review, I ordered a K100D late last week and it arrived on Tuesday evening. This is my first DSLR. I've shot digital P&S cameras for the last 5 or 6 years and Canon FD equipment for the last 8. This is going to be a new experience for me but it seems like there's a lot of good advice to be had here.

Welcome and you live in an area with plenty of photo opportunities should make for quick use of the new camera.

Welcome. Which part of the UP are you from? I went to Tech several years ago.
